Probable antioxidant therapy of Saffron Crocin in patients with multiple sclerosis: A randomized controlled trial

Introduction and Aim: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a complex neurological condition might emerge as result ofcomplex combination of genetic risk factors with environmental triggers, including oxidative stress. in this study we aimed to evaluate the effects oral Crocin on stress patients MS. 
 Materials Methods: Adjunct standard treatment, group (20 patients) received 30-mg/day (15 mg twice daily) dose placebo for 4 weeks. Saliva urine samples were collected determine levels total antioxidant capacity (TAC), catalase activity (CAT), thiol groups (TTG), lipid peroxidation (LPO), measured at baseline end study.
 Results: At baseline, there no significant differences LPO, TAC, CAT, TTG between control case groups. However, difference was found after weeks Crocin-therapy TTG,TAC LPO (p<0.05) except CAT (P>0.05). We deffrence urinary level intervention (P>0.05), while TAC significantly different compared beginning (P<0.05). Althugh, saliva first (p>0.05), administration have resulted increase well markedly decrease (p<0.05).
 Conclusion: According results study, can reduce several MS may contributes attenuates damages.
